Another beautiful and elegant city is Arezzo: The medieval Old Town is small and can be quietly toured on foot. Arezzo is considered one of the most important markets for Italian antiques, and it is evident in many shops, open along the pleasing alleys of the old town.
In the heart of the Tuscan hills you can find the town of San Gimignano (a UNESCO World Heritage site), medieval Tuscan town with numerous towers.
Another famous city is Siena: Piazza del Campo, is certainly one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. Here every year the famous Palio of Siena takes part.
